Nemu scans a restaurant menu and gives you translations, pronunciations, dish photos, and prices in your language. Here's how to use it and how to reach us.
How do I translate a menu?
Tap Take a photo to snap the menu, or Choose from library to pick an existing photo. Nemu reads the text and shows each dish translated, with a description, price, and often a photo.
How do I hear how a dish is pronounced?
Tap the ๐ speaker next to a dish to hear its name spoken in the original language, or the ๐ข button to hear it slowly. There's also a speaker on the translated name.
How do I set my language or currency?
Open Settings (gear icon) and choose your translation language and the currency to convert prices into.
How do I save a menu?
On a translated menu, tap Save. Find your saved menus via the bookmark icon on the home screen.
How do I add notes to a saved menu?
Open a saved menu and swipe to the Notes page (or tap the journal icon) to jot what you ordered or would order again. Notes save automatically and stay on your device.
Does Nemu work without internet?
Yes. Nemu normally uses an online service for the richest results. If you have no connection, it automatically falls back to on-device translation โ you'll get basic dish names (no descriptions, photos, or converted prices) and a small "offline" note.
Your menu photos never leave your phone โ only the text is sent, and only when you're online. Read the full Privacy Policy.
